about
“I’ve wanted to cover ‘Dreams’ for quite some time now. When I first made the demo, it was 2020 and I was staying at my parent’s place in Nova Scotia. The feeling of that slow summer surrounded by the rural landscapes of the valley worked its way into the track- I wanted it to feel like laying out in the sun with friends or a book. Stacks of vocal harmonies and a Twin Peaks inspired lead guitar remained for the final version, and I’m so excited to have been able to interpret such a beautiful song.”
Needy and the previous single, Only one, are stratospheric leaps for Molly Burch, even after 2 great albums that were also growth spurts. But here it's gotten so good, this single and the last could be contenders for best songs of 2020. felonious-punk
A solarpunk concept album set in the not-too-distant tomorrow, Tom John Hall uses elegantly wrought art rock to tell a winding tale. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 25, 2023
Even better the original. The fuzzy guitars create this warm, enveloping wall of sound that makes this classic a lot richer than Sheryl Crow's version. Allison's stout-hearted vocals, tinged with a subtle shade of blue, deliver some of the most resolute, optimistic lyrics in pop music with finesse and nostalgia. purelyanecdotal
